At AEFS, our team of qualified professionals includes A-Grade electricians, licensed sprinkler fitters, and experienced portable & passive fire equipment specialists, supported by dedicated coordinators, estimators and administration staff. With decades of combined hands-on experience across the range of fire protection systems, our team are passionate about the industry and stay fully up to date with Australian Standards and the latest equipment.
Pat joined AEFS in 2023 with 20 years’ experience spanning engineering, management consulting and business ownership. He and Matthew set the company’s strategic direction while working closely with the leadership team to strengthen the team, systems and processes - all focused on delivering best-in-class fire protection and customer service.
Matthew joined AEFS in 2023 with 15 years as an Australian Army helicopter pilot and extensive experience in operations transformation and management consulting. He and Pat set the company’s strategic direction while working closely with the leadership team to strengthen the team, systems and processes - all focused on delivering best-in-class fire protection and customer service.
George brings more than 30 years of leadership in fire protection and essential building services, having held senior roles at a number of large fire protection companies. He specialises in building and mentoring high-performing teams, recruiting and developing technicians, and implementing the systems and training programs that drive consistent, high-quality service delivery. At AEFS, George manages statewide operations, oversees contract performance and ensures our technicians have the support and direction they need to keep every client fully compliant and protected.
Jim brings over 35 years in fire protection, starting as an A-Grade electrician and progressing through technical, supervisory and senior management roles across Victoria. His deep knowledge of Australian Standards helps him deliver practical, compliant solutions and ongoing support to AEFS clients.
Myles has been with AEFS since 2013, moving from field service through key account management to General Manager Operations. His strong technical knowledge and client-focused approach enable proactive contract management, full compliance and fast, effective solutions with minimal client effort.
Jon has spent over 20 years in the fire industry, starting as a technician and rising to Electrical Manager. He leads the electrical team and keeps up to date with all standards, and his strong technical knowledge ensures that AEFS is always on top of the latest equipment developments.
Kim joined AEFS in 2019 with over 30 years of administration and finance experience, backed by her Cert IV in Bookkeeping. She manages bookkeeping, payroll, HR, vehicle fleet, new client setup, office, and compliance, ensuring that our finance processes run smoothly for clients, suppliers and employees.
AEFS has a long history of providing innovative fire safety solutions throughout the Greater Melbourne and Geelong areas, and we have continued to expand throughout Victoria.
In addition to our routine inspection, testing and repair of fire safety systems, we have successfully delivered a broad range of projects across diverse industries. From designing and building complex fire protection solutions for new builds, overhauling existing systems across multiple sites, or creating custom solutions for niche clients, our expertise, technical know-how, and commitment to quality and compliance has consistently delivered projects on time and within budget.
Following a fire safety audit that identified non-compliant pipework in an aged care facility, AEFS removed and replaced the entire sprinkler system with zero disruption to residents or staff using precise off-site fabrication to navigate severely restricted ceiling voids.
